My Studying Essentials!

I decided today that I wanted to continue on with the school them. Today I'm going to give you my Studying Essentials, and why they are essential to my studying routine.

Studying Essentials

Studying Essentials by loriboyd

1. Sweaters
-When I'm studying I always make sure I have a sweater near by just in case I get cold.

2. Coffee/ Hot Chocolate Mug
  -  I don't drink coffee much, but during the winter I drink hot chocolate ALL the time. Sometimes I'll drink coffee, but only if I can get it just right.

3. Heating Pad
 - This is actually something new I've recently discovered. When I sit for a long time I get cramps in my back, and until last month I couldn't study for longer than 2 hours because my back would start hurting.
Well last month when I was on my period I bought a new heating pad and I used it, after my period was over I got cold, so  decided to get it out and use it to keep me warm, 4 hours later I realized my back wasn't hurting and I was still sitting at my desk.

4. Blanket
 - This one is kinda for the same reason as #1. But it's different because the main reason why I have blanket by is for my lower half, my feel tend to get really cold, so having a blanket nearby is a must.

5. Candles
  - I'm a candle addict, I have like 5 candles right now that I need to finish/start burning, and I already want to buy more. I'm not able to walk past candles in a store without stopping to sniff just one. I prefer candles that are vanilla scented, and anything similar to vanilla works too.
The reason this is on my list is because I truly believe the candles are soothing, they help me with my anxieties, and they just make the air so much nicer to breath in.

So there are my Studying Essentials, what do you think? What are you're studying essentials? Let me know in the comments.
                                                             Stay Creative,
                                                                              Lori Ann

The Autumn Tag!

Here recently I've been seeing this Tag around on A LOT of blogs, so I decided to do it myself. Some of the blogs have 9 questions, and others have 10, I decided to go with the one with 10 questions.

1. What's your favorite thing about Autumn?
  - I love the weather, I hate the summer, I can't stand the heat. So that, plus I think everyone is happier, and nicer because the Holiday's are right around the corner. And I also like that I can drink hot chocolate, and wear a sweater all day.

2.What's your favorite drink?
   - Hot chocolate.

3. What's your favorite scent/candle?
   - I recently bought a candle from the Glade fall collection, it's called Toasted Marshmallows, and I love it.

4. What's your favorite lipstick?
  - I don't really wear lipstick, I prefer lip balm. Right now I'm loving the EOS ball, and I also like the Nivea Milk & Honey lip care.

5. What's your go to favorite moisturizer?
  - I love the Simple

6.  What's your favorite colors for your eyes?
  - I probably only wear makeup about 3 times a month, last year I only wore makeup 5 times, but this year I've had a lot of special occasions.  When I do wear makeup I usually pick between the Wet & Wild 'Greed'  Palette.
Or  I will use the Merle Norman Powder Rich Eyeshadows in 'Desert Sand' and 'Taupe Suede', unfortunately they are super old, and I don't think they're sold anymore so I'm going to be really sad when I finish them.

7. What's your favorite music or band/singer to listen to?
-Right now I'm loving Demi Lovato, and also Evanescence.

8. What's your favorite outfit to wear?
  - Usually a cardigan, jeans and boots. Other times I'll wear yoga pants, a huge sweater, and either boots or flats.

9.  What's your favorite Autumn treat?
   - I love to bake cakes, and help my aunt make homemade Pumpkin Cream Cheese Rolls.

10. What's your favorite place to be?
    - At this time of year I love to be in bed, with my window up, sipping hot chocolate, and reading a good book.

If you wanna do this tag please leave a link below so I can see yours.

So that's all for today, I'll have my usual post up a post up on Friday.  Let me know what you think in the comment section.

Updated Look!

Fall is in the air, and I am loving it. I slept with my window up last night and now I'm freezing, brrr!
Since it was so cold in my room I decided to make a cup of hot chocolate to warm me up, and then I decided to stay in bed and write today.
I was going to save this post for Thursday and do my update then, but when I woke up this morning I changed my mind.

My Christmas cup, Can you tell I'm ready for the Holiday's?

If you've been following my blog for a while, then you've probably noticed a lot of changes over the past few weeks.
Well I decided to go one step further, and update my entire blog. I've been thinking about it for a while, and a few nights ago I was playing around and finally I was able to put together a new design I loved.
I wanted to lighten up my blog, before it was black, with a little pink, and now it's white! It's a big change, but I really do like it.
I'm sure eventually I'll add a little color to it, but for now I just love how clean it feels. I feel like over the past month, I've really upped my standards, and I just want to keep going forward.
For a long time I felt stuck, but I'm finally coming out of my black (and pink) hole, and opening up to new things.
Recently, I've been blogging more, and I've actually written so much, that I'm having a hard time scheduling everything. So far I've got everything scheduled through January, except of course my Monday posts. But I just keep writing, but I love every minute of it!

Soooo what do you think? Let me know below. Do you like it better than the old design?  So that's all for today, I'll have my usual post up a post up Monday.  Let me know what you think in the comment section. Stay Creative my Lovelies, I'll post again very soon.
                                              XOXO,

Fall/Winter Favorites

So Fall is approaching very fast, the weather is starting to cool down, and the leaves are changing and falling. I know some people love Summer, and absolutely dread Fall and Winter, but I'm the complete opposite.
Actually, pretty much everyone where I live loves the Summer. I get much more social come Fall, mostly due to the fact that I can't stay outside during the Summer for more than an hour.
Today I decided I wanted to do a post about my favorite things about Fall, and why I love Fall so much......
  1. Hot Chocolate-  I love hot chocolate, which is why I'm always excited when the weather starts to change. Since, during the Summer I can't drink it I always start watching the trees at the end of summer, so I know how much longer till colder weather sets in.
  2. Boots- Oh boots, there's a million things I could say about how much I absolutely adore boots. I dream all year about finally getting to wear my boots. I swear last Winter that's all I lived in, the only time I wore anything else was when I went to the gym. Unfortunately, Summer weather started here in March, so I didn't get to wear them as much as I would have preferred.
  3. Decorations- Decorations are clearly a big part of Fall and Winter. I just think it's amazing the effort that some people exert to please themselves, just knowing that they've given a little piece of happiness to someone who has seen what they've done. The only time during Summer that there are any decorations is the Fourth of July, but the Fall and Winter, people really step up their game. I really appreciate that some people still care, whether they only do it for the children, themselves, or their community, someone appreciates it, I know I do.
  4. Family Bonding- I don't know about you, but I have a rather big family. Usually Christmas is the only time I get to see them. So when that first leaf fall's from the trees I get excited knowing that it won't be long till I get to see everyone. Also Halloween and Thanksgiving, even though my family is usually apart we still spend time together. But my favorite time for family bonding isn't an actual holiday, it's when my uncle who's in the army get's his vacation, and they come visit. I always make sure to take lots of pics, I'm anxious waiting for them to tell us when they'll be coming
  5. Weather-  Ah the weather, the biggest pleasure of them all. With Fall comes lower temperatures, which I really appreciate. Our Summer here in Kentucky mainly consisted of a maximum of four rain showers, that's it. It has been awful, I don't think until this month it had gotten below 90. I know this may sound weird but I love the sound of rain, I love thunderstorms. Also, snow, I'm really excited to see snow again, it only snowed here once last year and it didn't last very long at all. So to say I'm excited is an understatement.
  6. Sweaters- In years past I hadn't really been that big a fan of sweaters, but last year we moved into a house without heat. Since then we've moved and have heat once again, but while there I grew to love the feel of sweaters. I guess it being due to my love of layers. So I'm really excited about the chill being back in the air. I'm actually wearing a sweater right now as I write this, now I want some hot chocolate and my night will be complete.
  7. Sweets- Of course, the sweets, they're going to ruin my weight loss success from this year, ugh. I always look forward to the colder months to start baking. Mainly because most of the things we bake in the winter don't taste right during the summer months. My mom and I always make, homemade peanut butter balls, Reese's bars, and chocolate covered pretzels, also pumpkin cream cheese rolls. Yummy, now you can see why I said it's going to kill my weight loss success.
  8. No bugs- I love winter a lot because I can actually go outside and not get eaten alive by bugs. Also I'm not afraid to go in the yard cause I know the snakes are gone, and most spiders too. Yeah I hate spiders and snakes, ugh, I don't even like to think about it.
  9. Hair- In the winter it's easier to style my hair. I have naturally straight hair, and it's hard for me to do anything with it. During the summer it's just so hot that the humidity takes it's toll on my hair within minutes of going outside. So winter is my time for my hair and makeup to shine.
  10. Blankets- I love to stay cuddled up in a blanket year round, but it's hard to do in the winter unless I'm downstairs in front of the air vent. In the winter I can stay in my room cuddled up in bed, with a book, and hot chocolate.
Okay so those are my Fall/Winter Favorites. I'll be posting a Fall/Winter Favorites series over the next few weeks, I'll post this one then I'll do a Fall/Winter Beauty Favorites and a Fall/Winter Fashion Favorites, they'll most likely be posted a week apart with a post in between them.
Well that's all for today, I'm gonna go write the other two posts. So are there any topics, you'd like me to cover? Do you prefer Fall and Winter over Summer? Also, do you have any hot chocolate recipes you'd like to share?
