June Favorites

Hello Lovelies!
I'm sorry I didn't get to post last week, I've been so busy with work I haven't had time to do any posts. I'm going to be busier this week, but since I have today off I'm going to try to get some posts scheduled to go up this week!

When trying to decide what to post today, I realized that I haven't done a favorites post since March, so here's my favorites for June!

Song:
I don't know what it is about this song that I love so much, but it's always been a favorite of mine.

Beauty:
I've been using this eyeliner for about two months now and I'm still in love!

I bought this at the same time as the eyeliner and I love it! At first I was using it on it's own (which is beautiful), but I finally started experimenting with it and it's so easy to create new looks with!

Books:
I'm actually still reading this book, but I'm already halfway through and I just started reading it. So far I'm loving it, and this is definitely my favorite book of the month.

Movies:
I watched this movie a few weeks ago and it was great! I loved the movie so much that I just picked up the book and so far it seems like they didn't stray from the book too much.

What have you been loving this month? Let me know below!

March Favorites

Hello lovelies!
I was planning on putting this up yesterday, but once again my sucky internet wouldn't let me on long enough to finish writing. I'm hoping that in a week or two we'll have our new internet hooked up and then I'll be able to get back on schedule.

Today I have for you my March Favorites, I forgot to do a favorites post last month, so I really wanted to do one for March so that I could share with you some of the stuff I've been loving over the past few weeks!

Food: Dove Milk Chocolate
This is my favorite chocolate of all time, I decided to include it this month because I don't think I've ever mentioned it on here.

Song: Love Me Like You Do by Elle Goulding
I love, love, love, this song, it's so beautiful! Btw for those of you who haven't seen the movie yet, the music video makes it look much better than it actually is.

Beauty:
I actually have three beauty products for this month!

I bought this last month and I've been loving it since then. The only bad thing I can say about it is that if you get it in your mouth it tastes horrible!

This is another one that I bought during my Ulta haul last month and I have nothing bad to say about it, I plan on reviewing it soon, I just want to give it a little more time before I do a full review!

I bought this last month when I went in Sephora to only buy one thing and eneded up spending $80! I've used this before a few years ago and I loved it, so I decided that I wanted to try it again and I think I love it more now, than I did then!

Books:
My review for this book will be up next week, so all I'm saying right now is that you should definitely check it out!

My review on this book will be up in two weeks, but you should definitely check it out too!

Movies:

Divergent
I went to my local Family Video to rent a movie and they didn't have what I wanted so I decided to get this one instead and I really enjoyed it.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1
I've been dying to see this movie and I finally did, and now I can't wait till November for the next one to come out!

That's it for today, tomorrow I'll be giving you my March Goals Update, and then Thursday I'll have a new book review up!
What have you been loving this month? Let me know below!

January Favorites

Hello lovelies!
Today I will be sharing with you my favorites for the month of January! This month I discovered new favorites and old favorites!

Here's this months favorites!
Favorite Song: Home by Ingrid Michaelson
Honestly I'm not a huge fan of Ingrid, I started listening to her music a few months ago and this is one of my favorites. I've never really been able to explain it to people, but this song explains how I feel about Nashville. I've always loved Nashville since I was a little girl and when I think of home and where I want to spend the rest of my life, I always think of Nashville.

TV Show: Gossip Girl
I starting watching Gossip Girl for the first time ever this month and I'm really loving it, I started watching it two weeks ago and I'm already halfway through season 2!

Movie: Safe Haven
This was another first for me this month, I had wanted to watch this for a while and once I found it on Netflix I had to watch it and I loved it!

Fashion:
I have two of these shirts, one in a beautiful purple and one in a tan shade and I love them! I bought them in October and they've been my go to for Fall and Winter, I love them so much I can see myself wearing these into the spring!

Skin Products:
I actually have two skin products that I've been loving this month.

I love this hand cream I use it every night before I go to bed, I use it on my hands and it also works amazing on chapped lips, words cannot explain how much I love this product.

Simple Kind to Skin Moisturizing Face Wash
My skin has been acting up a little this month, it's mainly my cheeks right below my eyes, that area tends to get red and dry easily, so I've been using this face wash two or three nights a week and it really helps.

Hair Product: OGX Morrocan Argan Oil
I've been using this oil for about two years now, I go in phases with it where I love it and then I can go months without using it at all. Right now I'm REALLY loving it! I've actually been replacing my conditioner and using this instead. On nights when I wash my hair I only shampoo, and when I get out of the shower I run this through my hair, and I cannot believe how much my hair has changed since I started doing this about three weeks ago!

That's it for today, don't forget to check back tomorrow to see a new blog post!

My Favorite Songs of 2014

Hello lovelies,
My taste in music is constantly changing, I'm constantly discovering new (and old) songs and artists! I love music, I love listening to it when I'm sad, when I'm depressed, and of course when I'm happy!
This year I discovered and fell in love with a lot of songs, and today I'm going to list my 10 favorite songs of the year!

Lucy Hale - Road Between
Road Between is probably my favorite song of 2014, I love the message behind it, and Lucy's voice sounds amazing.

Taylor Swift - Shake It Off
Shake It Off is one of my favorite songs off of 1989, the album wasn't my favorite, but I did love some of the songs, and I think Shake It Off is great.

Demi Lovato - Let It Go
Who doesn't love Let It Go???

John Legend - All of Me
I've never been a huge John Legend fan, but I really do love this song, and I've listened to it a lot this year.

SoMo - Ride
I first discovered SoMo earlier this year and I immediately fell in love with his voice, he is an incredible artist and I can't wait to hear new music from him!

Rascal Flatts - Rewind
I've grown up listening to Rascal Flatts and they've never put out a song or album I don't like, so it's not surprise that this song is on my list of favorites!

Miranda Lambert ft. Carrie Underwood - Something Bad
The first time I listened to this song I really didn't like it, but once I listened to it some more I really started loving it. It's a great motivation song, it gets you pumped up and ready to go!

Cher Lloyd - Sirens
I had heard of Cher before she released Sirens, but I never was a huge fan. Sirens is so different from her other music and I love it!

Carrie Underwood - Something In The Water
I've been a huge fan of Carrie's since her first album, so once again, it's no surprise that this song makes it onto my list!

Nick Jonas ft. Demi Lovato - Avalanche
NEMI!!! Okay I admit it, I'm a huge Nemi shipper, they would look so cute together, but they're both in relationships and I respect that. This song is incredible, the notes Demi hits in this song is some of her highest notes and their voices sound amazing together!

There are so many more songs that I've loved this year, but it would take forever to list them, so I'm going to leave you with these 10 songs! What were your favorite songs this year? Let me know below!

Blogmas Day 16: Top 10 Tuesday: Top 10 Books I Read in 2014

Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly link-up hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
This week's theme: Top 10 Books I Read in 2014.

Before I get into today's Top 10 Tuesday, I would like to ask you to leave your opinion below on my little edit! Normally I use the one from the Broke and the Bookish website, but it's a little too small for my blog and it looks blurry, so I decided to make my own and I want your opinion! So please let me know below what you think!

The Tycoon's Daughter by Caitlyn Duffy
I really love the Treadwell Academy Series, it's probably the best YA series I've read in a long time! The Tycoon's Daughter is by far my favorite in the series and you can read my review here!

Too Friendly Too Date by Nicole Helm
If I had to pick my #1 book read in 2014 it would probably be a tie between this and The Tycoon's Daughter, I highly recommend this book, I loved it, I still love it, and I see myself re-reading this book again in the future!

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
I read this in January for my English class and I really enjoyed it. I didn't think I would like it because I usually don't like the books I have to read for school, but I actually liked it.

Deadly Holiday Reunion by Lenora Worth
I actually just finished this book last week, but it was amazing, and I couldn't leave it off my list! You can read my review here!

Heiress on the Run by Sophie Pembroke
I won this book in a giveaway and I really liked it, I really liked the characters, and I like the message of the book. You can read my review here.

Her Colton Lawman by Carla Cassidy
I LOVED this book, I LOVED the whole series, in my review (here) I said I was thinking about buying the third and final book in the series, well, I did, I haven't finished yet, bus as soon as I do I'll make sure I review it!

Maverick Sheriff by Delores Fossen
The only bad thing I can say about this book is that it should have been longer! You can read my review  here to see more of what I thought about it!

The Boy I Love by Nina de Gramont
I really liked the characters in this book, it's one of the two YA novels I read this year, and I really enjoyed it. You can read my review here, to see more of what I thought about it!

Loving Ellie by Lindsey Brookes
This is a contemporary romance novel, my favorite part about this book was that unlike most books nowadays, it didn't rely on constant references to today's books, music, entertainment, etc. I like that this is a book that I could read in 50 years and not look back wondering what the author was talking about. You can read more of my review here!

Snowstorm Confessions by Rachel Lee
I LOVED this book, I really loved the Brianna and Luke's characters, but what I loved even more was getting to read from the stalkers point of view too! You can read my review here!

This was a really hard list to make, I read so many amazing books this year, there weren't many that I didn't like! You may have noticed a them above, this year I discovered that I really like the romantic suspense genre, that's what I mostly read this year, and I'm so happy I re-discovered my old love for romantic suspense books!

So there's my Top 10 Books I Read in 2014, what are yours? Tell me below or leave me a link to your Top10!

Making Changes

Hey y'all, I mentioned a few weeks ago that I was planning on making some changes, at the time I hadn't made any solid decisions, but now I have and I want to share them with you!

As of right now I have one temporary change and five permanent changes to tell y'all about!

Temporary Change:
Okay, you might have noticed that recently I've been posting more book reviews than anything else and there's a reason for that. The truth is when I first discovered Netgalley back in the Summer I went overboard and requested way too many books, I've been trying to get through them but it's hard to do on a tight schedule.
Right now I'm trying to get through all of the Christmas-y books that I requested, I think I have 18 so for the next few weeks you're going to be bombarded with book reviews. I think I've decided that till I can get through all these books I'm going to be posting a book review on Wednesday and Thursday, so you'll be getting an extra post a week from me.
I think after the New Year I should be caught up, but till then be prepared for great books coming your way!

Upcoming Permanent Changes Include:

Weekly Inspiration Series Update.
Honestly this one really isn't that important I just felt like mentioning it to get you ready for all the changes coming your way. Since I started my Weekly Inspiration series I've always made it a mixture of pictures and quotes I've edited and things I've found on Pinterest or Tumblr.
Well I've decided to start making all of the Weekly Inspiration edits on my own, I've planned it out so that this will go into effect the first Sunday of 2015.

The End of 5 Words.
I mentioned a few weeks ago that I was planning on ending this series at the end of the year, that is still the plan. At the time I told y'all about that I had no idea what I was going to replace it with, but now I think I've decided I'm either going to do a Friday Five or a Weekend Links! The series will be ending the last Friday of the year, and the new series will start the first Friday of 2015.

Monthly Favorites and Weight Loss Update Changes.
For the past few months I've been trying to do a monthly favorites post, but I never seem to be able to find a place to put it, so I've decided to swap a few things out.
First, changes to my Monthly Weight Loss Update. I've decided I'm going to start making this post the last Saturday of the month, that way a Monday slot is open.
Second, since  I have a open Monday slot, I've decided that that's where my Monthly Favorites will go.

Blog design.
For the most part I'm happy with my blog design at the moment, but there are a few things I want to change. First I really need to make a blog button, I realized a few days ago that I don't have one, so I'll be making one soon. Second, I think I've decided to start sponsoring blogs, so if you're interested in that let me know.  I'm keeping my color palette the way it is, but I do want to make a few tweaks.

Blog Content.
My blog content is constantly changing. One month I'll be focused on book reviews, then fashion posts, then beauty reviews. I've realized that I really need to start trying to balance out my different posts, so working on my blog schedule is something I'm trying to work on at the moment.

Most of these changes will be going into effect after the new year, so nothing dramatic, but I'm so excited and I couldn't wait to tell you. I love starting a new year because it's a chance to start over and make major changes without people questioning your sanity!

Lori

Fall Wishlist: Dresses

Hello lovelies, I hope you're having a great day! Today I decided I would show you some of the dresses I've been loving, I'm a big fan of Taylor Dresses and Eliza J dresses, so of course they made an appearance on this list!

I love the color of this dress, it's perfect for this fall.

I love blue dresses, it doesn't matter what shade of blue, I LOVE blue!

Something I love more than blue dresses is blue and black striped dresses!

I love wearing sweater dresses during the fall, depending on how cold it is I usually pair it with tights or leggings and of course boots!

My goal this fall is to buy more maxi dresses, I only have one and it's not really something I could wear in the Fall/Winter, so I definitely need more. I really like this one, but I'm not really sure how I would style it.

So that's all for today, will you be buying any of these dresses? Let me know what you think below!

Spring Favorites from Nordstrom

It's that time of year again, the weather is starting to warm up, and the snow is melting. It's time to put away those heavy winter coats and bust out your lightweight jackets.

It's Springtime!

You all know that Fall and Winter is my favorite time of year, but I also like Spring. I'm happy for the longer days and warmer weather, I'm just not looking forward to Summer. I know, I know, I'm not like all the other bloggers you follow who can't wait for Summer to get here, but that's just me!

So to get in the mood for the new season I thought today that I would share with you some of my Spring picks from Nordstrom.

That's all for today, so let me know what you think in the comments, and don't forget to follow if you haven't already!

Review: Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear Nail polish

Today I will be reviewing the Sally Hansen Nail Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear nail polish in 130 Blue Me Away! I bought this a few years ago at Walmart for $2.50, and I decided to review it today because it's super bright, and I really wanna get back into doing reviews every week.

This is a nail polish that I have used for years, and I've always loved it and still do to this day.

As you can see it's super bright, and I got so many compliments on it, it really is the perfect light blue nail polish.

I think the reason I love the Xtreme Wear Sally Hansen nail polishes  so much is because they last so long, AND they're affordable. What more could you want out of a nail polish?

Would I recommend it? OF COURSE, I don't think I've ever found a nail polish from the Xtreme Wear line that I don't like, they're all just so perfect.

So that's all for today, come back for more tomorrow.
      XoXo,
                Lori

My Top 5 Beauty Products Under 5 Dollars

Today I thought I'd take a break from doing reviews and do something a little different. I'm going to show you my Top 5 Beauty Products Under 5 dollars.

1. Aussie 3 Minute Miracle  $2.99 at Walmart.
 - This is hands down my favorite conditioner, it's even better than the conditioner my hairstylist uses. Normally I use this twice a week, butvfor the past month I've been using it everyday to prep my hair for the damage I knew my hair would go through last week when I dyed it. I also use this alongside my Moroccan Argan Oil, you can see my blog post about it (here)

2. Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Polish  $2.50 at Walmart.
 - For this one I'm lumping the entire collection together because I love every single nail polish in this line. If you've been reading my blog for a while then you know that I love these nail polishes, I've reviewed many in the past, and I have more reviews coming up over the next few weeks.

3. Wet & Wild Eye Shadow Palette in C246 Greed    $1.99 at Kmart.
  -  This is my most used beauty product, I don't wear makeup often, but when I do I use this palette to do my eyes.

4.  E.L.F Eyeliner Brush    $1.00
 - This is my favorite makeup brush ever, and I use it every time I wear makeup.  I probably have three of these brushes one I use, one as a back-up, and then I cut one into an angled brush.

5. Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner  $4.49 at Walmart.
 - I cannot believe I've lived my entire life without this eyeliner, it is the most amazing beauty product I've ever used. I use this to line my bottom waterline, and I use it to tight-line my upper waterline. Once you put this on your skin it does not budge, and it will not smudge, it is the BEST THING EVER!!!

Well that's all for today, I hope you enjoyed it, and don't forget to follow me if you want to see more.
        XoXo,
                    Lori Ann

Pinterest Finds

Happy Monday lovelies, and welcome to the first Pinterest Finds blog post! Every month is going to be different, some months I may only post one thing I found on Pinterest, and then months like February I might post 5, either way I hope you like it.

                                                    1. This quote from John Green

Via

                                2. These boots from Torrid that I'm thinking about ordering.

Via

                                                                  3.  This photo.

Via

                                                       4.  This picture. The TRUTH!

Via

                                           5. This picture of Demi Lovato's hair in 2010.

Via

I kinda wanna add a little note for #5, about why I decided to add it. I added this picture because this is the picture I took took to the salon last week when I got my hair done (I'll be doing a post about it either this week or next week) .
I had decided that I wanted to cut off a lot of hair, and I wanted to add layers, so I started looking on Pinterest, then I remembered this picture that I had pinned, and I knew it was the one.
Tip: If you can't decide what you want to do with your hair go on Pinterest and type in Demi Lovato aka hair porn queen, I'm not kidding when I say the girl has had every hair color you can imagine, and you will definitely find something you like!

So that's all for this week check back soon for that post about my new hair cut/color, I'm going to try to get it posted this week, but it could possibly be next week.
                                                                                     XOXO,
                                                                                           Lori Ann

Walmart Haul

I've never actually done a Haul before, so I thought why not do one today. These are all products I bought this month, and I wanted to share them.
I'm not really sure if this counts as a Haul considering it's only 6 items, but let's just call it that.

1.) Revlon Nail Polish in Graceful 320
    - I actually haven't tried this one yet, I've had it for a while now, and just haven't really thought about using it. It will probably be later next month when I finally get around to it.

2.) Revlon Nail polish in Smoldering 370
     - You don't have to wait as long for this review it will be published next Tuesday.

3.) Revlon Matte Top Coat 790 Nail Polish
   - I have a review on this that I have scheduled for November 12, so sorry you have to wait till then to hear what I have to think about it.

4.) Sinful colors Nail Polish in Nirvana 949
     - This is another one I've had for a while and haven't got around to yet.

5.)Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Nail Hardener
   - This is my all time favorite top coat and/or base coat, I love it. I go through like 10 of these a year, I use it EVERY time I do my nails.  I don't plan on doing a review on this mainly because it's something I've talked about so much.

6.) Equate Beauty Regular Nail Polish Remover
    - I actually just realized I bought the wrong one, I usually buy the Non- Acetone nail polish remover, I've never used one with Acetone in it, so I guess we'll see how this goes. This is another one I don't plan on reviewing, but though I'd include anyway.

So that's all for today, I'll have my usual post up a post up tomorrow, and again on Friday.  Let me know what you think in the comment section. Stay Creative my Lovelies, I'll post again very soon.

Fall Playlist

I wanted to do something a little different Today, so I decided I would share my fall playlist. Below is my Fall 2013 Playlist for when you need a little something to get you through the day, or when you just feel like relaxing around the house listening to music.

                            Demi Lovato- Heart Attack
                            Zedd- Clarity
Katie Armiger- Better in a Black Dress
                            Lady Antebellum- Goodbye Town
                            Jimmy Eat World- The Middle
Bon Jovi- What Do You Got
                            Anna Nalik- Just Breath
                            Shinedown- Second Chance
The Civil Wars- The One That Got Away
The Beatles- Here Comes the Sun

As you can tell my taste in music varies, one week I'm obsessed with country, and then the next week I'm only listening to metal. I love music. I'm very open minded, and I know what I like, and what  don't like. I tend to not like popular music, I like to find new, or less popular singers, because their music to me is more meaningful, than those on the top of the charts.
I know not everyone will agree with my taste in music, but that's okay. Feel free to leave a comment below about your fall playlist, and about the music you'll be listening to as we go into the final few months of the year.
So that's all for today, again sorry about the delay, I'll have my usual post up tomorrow, I've already got it scheduled so it will definitely be posted. Stay Creative my lovelies, I'll post again very very soon.
                                        XOXO,
                                              Lori Ann

Shows I'm Looking Forward To Watching This Fall

It is officially Fall, my favorite season of the year, and I'm so happy. Today's post is a little tease of what's to come starting next week.
I decided to do a little Fall series, I already have the posts written and scheduled, so starting next Tuesday it's officially Fall on my blog.
To get the ball rolling I thought I would start off with the TV shows I'm looking forward to watching the most. Some of them have already started, and some will be starting in a matter of days, which is why I didn't want to put off this post.

1. Revenge
         - I can't wait to see what happenes between Emily and Jack now that he's knows she's really Amanda.
2. Once Upon A Time
        - After that season finale, I can hardly wait to see what happens next.
3. The X-Factor
        - This already started a few weeks ago, but I had to include it.
4. Nashville
        - Again ABC really knows how to make a season finale brilliant, I can't wait.
5. Ravenswood
        - I'm still not to sure if I want to get started on this PLL spin-off, but I'm willing to give it a try.
6. Suburgatory
          -  Does anyone know when it's supposed to premiere?
7. The Middle
          - I'm not a regular viewer, but I like having something I can watch when there's nothing on TV.
8. Once Upon A Time in Wonderland
        - Again I'm not sure if I wanna get started on another TV show, let alone a spin-off, but I think I might give it a try.

I tend to watch too much TV, I've been cutting back, and I've told myself I'm not going to start watching any new shows this fall, but I doubt that's going to happen.
So that's all for today, I'll have a post up tomorrow. Do you plan on watching any of these shows? Do you plan on watching any other shows? Let me know what you think in the comment section. Stay Creative my Lovelies, I'll post again very soon.
