Weekly Inspiration

Hello Lovelies!
"Cherish the time you have with people because nothing lasts forever, and things can change really quickly."

I think with this week being Thanksgiving, for those of us here in the United States, that this quote is kind of perfect. Thanksgiving is all about being with family and being thankful for what you have, it's also about cherishing your family.

Unfortunately because I work retail I won't be able to be with my family this year, I'll be working and have to deal with the dreaded Black Friday (Thanksgiving Blitz) shoppers. Last year was really hard on me, it was my first black friday and my anxiety hit me really hard. I'm really hoping that this year won't be as bad, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Last year I was a cashier, this year I'm not sure if I'll be a cashier or if I'll be crowd control.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello Lovelies!
I know I've been absent for the past few months, but I plan on getting back to blogging here in a few days.
So until then I just wanted to wish all my fellow Americans a very Happy Thanksgiving! Sadly I have to go to work later and I'm really nervous because this is my first Dark Thursday/ Black Friday, I've never worked or shopped the sale so this is a first for me.

Hello lovelies, I just wanted to say a quick Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Americans! I will be spending the day with my mom and I have no idea what we're doing!

Things I'm Thankful For:
1. Waking up every morning
2. My mom - she's amazing!
3. My education
4. Books
5. My life! It's not perfect, but I have a mostly great family, my health is getting stronger everyday, and for that I'm thankful!

I have so much to be thankful for this year, this year has been incredible, and I'm grateful to be able to spend it with my family!
Tomorrow I'm looking forward to decorating for Christmas and lots of Christmas shopping!

What to Wear: Thanksgiving

Hello lovelies, I cannot believe next Thursday is Thanksgiving! Today, I will be showing you three Thanksgiving outfits, a casual outfit, a formal outfit, and then one completely using pieces from my favorite boutique, KiKi La Rue!

First up is A Casual Thanksgiving!

Second is A Formal Thanksgiving.

Bracelet  / Dress / Shoes

Last is this outfit I put together by KiKi La Rue.

Necklace / Bracelet / Top / Pants / Boots
Confession, I'm in love with Piko tops, if I had the money I'd buy one in every color. I love the Goldenrod color above, but my favorite is the Midnight Blue, it's so beautiful, but it's sold out everywhere, I cannot find it and I need it!

What are your thanksgiving plans? Which outfit do you prefer?

Lori

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today,  in the USA is Thanksgiving Day, and because of that, and the fact that most of my readers are from the USA I didn't wanna put up a lot of posts this week. I know a lot of people are traveling,  and I don't wanna put out a lot of posts for you all to have to catch up on later, I want everyone to just  be able to spend time with their families, and relax.
I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do for this post, so I think I'm just gonna do 5 things I'm thankful for this year. So here we go...

1. My family
I have a huge family, and most people in my family don't support me and are never there when I need them. But there are about 4 people I know of who would be there, and who really do love me and support me, and I'm thankful to have them in my life.

2. My health
Over the years I've had issues with my health, but at the moment things are really starting to look up for me, and I'm not having any problems. I still have a long road to go before I can actually say I'm healthy, and that I'm 100% okay, but I'm working on it.

3. Education
I'm so lucky that I live in a country where I'm allowed to get an education, and where I don't have to worry about someone taking that away from me.

4. A home
This month has been full of tragedies, abroad and here at home. There was a tornado just 5 miles from where I live, and there were homes destroyed, and lives lost. It could have been me, but it wasn't and I can't imagine what those families are going through right now.

5. Our Troops
I'm thankful for our troops, they put their lives at risk everyday, and they never ask for anything in return. My heart is with them this Holiday season because they aren't able to be with their families.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

So that is all for today, I'll have my normal post up tomorrow,  so be sure to check back for that. Stay Creative, I'll post again very very soon.
                                        XOXO,

5 Words: Week 42

It's November, I'm so happy, it's finally cooling down and feeling like Fall, and it won't be too long till it's Winter. We have Thanksgiving in a few weeks, then Christmas next month, I feel like a little kid, I wanna jump up and down screaming, but it's late and my mom is sleeping, so don't think she would be happy if I did that.
So I decided this week to continue with last weeks theme, but this week I'm doing all the words in the letter 'E'
       Here's this weeks 5 Words....

Egregious- Outstandingly bad; shocking.
Enfranchise- Give the right to vote to.
Existential- Of or relating to existence.
Exponential- Of or expressed by mathematical exponent.
Epitome- A person or thing that is a perfect example of a particular quality or type.

So that is all for this week, be sure to check back next week.
                                                                          Stay Creative,
                                                                                         Lori Ann

Weight Loss Mondays: Week 1

So last month I said I was going to start either a monthly or weekly series featuring my weight loss series. I did that before I was injured which is why I haven't posted again since, but now I've recovered and will be getting back to my diet and exercise routine this week
I've never really showed photos of myself on here, but I decided to do so today, I made a collage showing me in October 2011 and a photo taken last week.
(Please excuse the mess in the after picture, and yes that's chocolate you see on the bed.)
So as you can see my body has changed significantly in the past year, it really is amazing, just thinking about how I still looked like the before picture in April. I guess it just goes to show what hard work and determination can do.
Okay let's get started with this weeks successes and failures.
My biggest success would be finally getting the swelling down on my leg, and it's no longer hurting so next week i'm going to start exercising.
My biggest failures are both my not exercising and not dieting. So as I already mentioned I haven't been able to exercise since the day before Thanksgiving, and due to not being able to do much I've been a bit depressed.
Since I've been depressed about not being able to do anything and being in constant pain I've ate like a pig. And I would just like to add I have damn well enjoyed every minute of it.
Until Saturday morning I hadn't weighed myself since being injured over Thanksgiving weekend, and to be honest I thought I had gained about 15 pounds because of my bingeing on chocolate all month. So did I gain or lose weight????
Weight Lost This Week/Month: 5 pounds
Total Weight Lost Since April 2012: 54 pounds
I honestly was blown away when I saw the number on the scale, I haven't weighed this little in over 2 years. So I'm not expecting much next week, but I'm hoping that I can lose a little weight, and if not maybe I can put into detail the excruciating pain I'll be in since I haven't exercised in a month.
So that's all for today I hope this inspire's you to stick to your diet.Let me know your thoughts in the comment's section. Stay Creative my lovelies, I'll post again very very soon.
                                                                                                 xoxo,

What I'm Thankful For

Today is the day that we here in the USA celebrate Thanksgiving. It is the day of the year everyone speaks of what they're thankful for. But I think we should be thankful everyday, you never know if you will make it to live to the next Thanksgiving.
There are many  things I have to be thankful for, and many things that have happened this year that I would like to reflect on...
  • I've developed a relationship with my uncle who I used to never see.
  • I've developed an attachment and special bond to said uncle's  1 year old daughter.
  • I got to celebrate another year of being alive.
  • I got a clean bill of health after 4 years of worrying.
  • I've lost 52 pounds.
  • Everyone overseas risking their life to protect our freedoms.
  • My family, regardless of how much they may hate me, I still love them.
Well there's that. I know there are plenty of other things I have to be thankful for, but I don't want to waste your time trying to explain my life. But before I go there is a picture I saw on facebook, and I want to share it with you.
Stay Creative my lovelies, I'll post again very soon.
                                                                                    xoxo,
