Links to Love

Hello Lovelies!
It's hard to believe it's already June 24th, I feel like the past month has just flown by and I haven't accomplished anything.

The past few months have been rough, but the past month has been the worst of it. Death, car wrecks, work drama, when it rains, it pours! Thankfully after next week things should start to calm down. I know I've mentioned work before, but I don't think I've ever actually said where I work.

I work for Walmart and right now we are all under a lot of stress. We are moving locations, our current store shut down Tuesday and we opened our new store Wednesday. I'm not gonna lie, the past month has been completely insane, but it's finally over and I can't wait to be able to get back into my old routine.

I gotta say I'm gonna miss our old store, it's bittersweet, this is my first job, and I have a lot of memories in that store. But I gotta say our new store is amazing!!!! It's huge, clean, beautiful, words cannot explain how happy I am with our new store.

What links are you loving this week?

20 Before 20

Hello Lovelies!
Well, what can I say, the fact that my birthday was in March and I'm just now posting this isn't very promising...

I was looking through my drafts today and I realized that for some reason I never posted my 20 Before 20 list!
Plan a trip.
Visit somewhere new.
Read 20 books for pleasure.
Purchase my first pair of high heels.
Lose 30 pounds.
Get my nose pierced.
Get a small tattoo.
Buy a new car,
Start apartment hunting.
Pay off my credit card debt.
Save $400.
Start college.
Maintain a good GPA in my first semester back in a traditional school setting.
Visit a trampoline park.
Go to my first concert.
Be able to run a mile.
Get a real haircut instead of a trim. (Maybe go red too!)
Say yes more!
Actually do what's on my list!

I'm gonna try to do an update in a few months to show my progress, I've actually crossed a few off already! It's go time! Can I complete my 20 Before 20 challenge before March 13, 2017!
Have you attempted a challenge like this before?

Let me know below!

Book Review: Protection Detail by Shirlee McCoy

Hello Lovelies!

Today I will be reviewing 'Protection Detail' by Shirlee McCoy, copy received from Netgalley via Love Inspired Suspense in exchange for an honest review.

'Protection Detail' is a romantic suspense novel, it is 288 pages long and it took me about 6 hours to read. It is available at Amazon for $1.99(Kindle), and Barnes & Noble for $1.99(NOOKBook).

About The Book

Genre: Romantic Suspense

Length: 288 Pages

Publisher: Love Inspired Suspense

Release Date: March 3, 2015

Book Synopsis

After a prominent senator's son is murdered, Capitol K-9 Unit captain Gavin McCord wants answers. The senator was a mentor to Gavin, and he'll stop at nothing to bring the killer to justice. With his team of elite K-9 cops and his loyal dog, Glory, at his side, Gavin discovers that a child at Cassie Danver's nearby foster home may have witnessed the murder. He's drawn to the determined and beautiful woman, but she doesn't want him interviewing her traumatized charges. Yet trusting Gavin is the only way to stay one step ahead of the deadly gunman when Cassie becomes a target.

Capitol K-9 Unit: These lawmen solve the toughest cases with the help of their brave canine partners.

What did I think?

Like: Almost everything.
Dislike: I hate not knowing who the murderer is. Too many unanswered questions.

Would I recommend it?
I really enjoyed this books, the characters, the plot, the suspense. The romance between Gavin and Cassie was very sweet and actually very believable. There were a few moments where I wanted to roll my eyes, but I still loved the romance between them.

However, because of the ending I'm not too happy with the book, but
at the end of the day I enjoyed the book more than I hated it. I hate that I have to buy five more books just to complete the story, but it is what it is. I'm a book lover and eventually I'll buy them and I'm sure I'll enjoy them too.

Overall, I would recommend it if you have the money to spend on a total of six books. If you don't have the money I would say stay away because this is a very catchy story, I finished it last night and  I need more!

Thank you Love Inspired via Netgalley for providing me with this book in exchange for an honest review!
