Weight Loss Monday's: Week 27

This weeks post is going to be another quickie because I don't have much to tell.

My diet was perfect last week, hardly any chocolate. All I had was 2 Hershey Almond Chocolate bars, so I'm very proud of myself for being able to make it through the entire week. I haven't really been eating much, nothing tastes good, most of the time I can't even finish what I put on my plate.
This week I need to improve on my exercise, last week I didn't do as well as I had been, so I'm going to have to get myself motivated again.

Weight Lost Last Week: 1 Pound
Total Weight Loss:  9 Pounds

So I know this post is short and sweet, but that's all for today. Stay Creative my lovelies, I'll post again very very soon.
                                        XOXO,

Review: L.A. Colors Color Craze Nail Polish

Today I will be reviewing L.A. Colors Color Craze Nail Polish in CNP530 Meadow.

Last week while shopping I seen this nail polish and I couldn't resist buying some, so I got two, and I will review the other next week.
Normally I go for dark colors, but for some reason I couldn't take my eyes off of this nail polish, and I'm actually very glad for that. By no means are these the best nail polishes, they are very cheap, but still good quality.
As you can see in the pictures it had chipped quit a bit, but not as much as I thought it would, considering I forgot to apply a topcoat. I had this on for about 5 days when I took this picture, so I'd say it help up well.
      Here's another picture....

So What Do I Think?

Everything about this nail polish is wonderful, except the brush. I hated the brush, it made the nail polish streaky, and I had to apply two coats just to make it look even.
Overall, for $1.00 it's a decent nail polish, you do have to work with it, but it looks good, and it lasts longer than expected.
So that's all for today, I'll have my usual post up Friday. Will you be buying this? Have you tried it already? Let me know what you think in the comment section. Stay Creative my Lovelies, I'll post again very soon.
                                         XOXO,

Weight Loss Monday's: Weeks 26

Last week was actually really boring, there's really nothing to tell, so Today's post will be short.

Last week was really good, overall I didn't really eat much. I normally will crave something, but last week I found it hard to find something that tasted good. Some mornings I was hardly able to finish my breakfast because it just tasted bland, nothing has a taste, and I'm not sure why.
For exercise I wasn't able to make it to the gym, so it will be Friday before I have any money to get signed up. But I did stay on my routine of squats, and hand weights for most of the week.
Like I said this post is going to be really short, I had a boring week, that consisted of me having a headache everyday of the week.
So did I lose and weight.... YES!!!

Weight Lost This Week: 2 Pounds
Total Weight Loss: 8 Pounds

So I know this post is short and sweet, but that's all for today. Stay Creative my lovelies, I'll post again very very soon.

My Top 5 Apps

I recently decided that I wanted to start tryinh yo post more often, so I decided this week I would do another post. I was originally planning on posting this on Tuesday, but I've been having problems with my internet this week, so I had to delay it.
After I finally got my internet working I decided today's post would be a list of my top 5Apps that I use....
1.) iBooks
- I've had my iPhone since February and I only recently discovered my iBooks app, and I've become obsessed. I love to read, and so I've probably downloaded about 30 free books, and I don't know whereto start. But on the bright side it gives me lots of books I can review.

2.) Pinterest
- I joined Pinterest last September and since then I've had my moments with it. Sometimes I'm completely obsessed, and other times I just don't even care for it. But for probably the last week, I've been going crazy pinning.

3.) Tetris
-Okay who doesn't love Tetris? We all played it as kids, and now we can play it on our phones, computers, tablets, etc.

4.) Web MD Allergy
- I just absolutely love Web MD, it makes life so much easier. Recently they launched another app for allergies, and I love it. Basically it consists of telling you pollen levels, it gives you tips for treating your allergies, and it also has a allergy tracker so you can track your triggers.

5.) Twitter
- Twitter is definitely the app I use the most, I love being able to keep up with friends, entertainment, and the news.

So that's all for today, I hope you liked my little post, I'll have my usual post up tomorrow.
Stay Creative my Lovelies, I'll post again very soon.
                                         XOXO,

Book Review: Dorothy McFalls- The Nude

Today's post will be a book review of 'The Nude' by Dorothy McFalls. I'm hoping I will be able to do more book reviews soon, but until then I decided to go ahead and post this.
As usual with my book reviews I will post a brief summary from the back of the book, I will then write my review. With this book I didn't actually buy it, I got it for free on Amazon for their Kindle app, so I don't know what the back actually say's, so I will be using the description given on  Amazon's website.
This is the story of an abused widow and a tortured artist.
"  All of London is enthralled by the mysterious Dionysus's latest masterpiece, a sensual woman reclining on an ornate settee, entitled, The Nude.
Elsbeth Countess Mercer, recognizes Dionysus's work. This isn't the first time he's wrecked havoc in her life. This time, though, his painting has put her at the center of a vicious scandal, for the figure in his painting looks just like her....nude. Before he can hurt her again, she sets out to find the artist and prove her innocence.
Nigel, the Marquess of Edgeware, has several problems of his own on his hands. A smuggling ring is using his Dorset estate's shoreline. Someone is trying to kill him. And now a fiesty widow is coming too close to discovering Dionysus's identity. Seducing the lady might be the swiftest course for diverting her attentions.
He doesn't realize how such an affairwould affect her heart.... or his own.     "

The story of The Nude is set in  Regency England, set around the doings of the aristocracy. As I mentioned before I got the book through Amazon's Kindle app, the book was available for free download, and it was 357 pages long.
I want to warn any young readers of this blog, or those that are very religious that this book does have sex scenes, and so I would not recommend it to you.
Now that I've issued that warning I will say that I've read a lot of books with sex scenes, some graphic, and some not. I can honestly say that the sex scenes in this book were very tastefully done,  Dorothy McFalls was able to create a sex scene without having to go into detail, and without having to drag it out for an entire chapter.
In the book you find out who Dionysus is before Elsbeth does, and it's interesting to see her journey to discovering Dionysus's identity.
You can tell this book is very well written because it flows from page to page, chapter to chapter, slowly building the emotion.  Not many people can write a book that features a woman recovering from  domestic violence, but Dorothy was able to capture Elsbeth's emotions. She was able to show exactly how hard it is to trust again after going through such a terrible first marriage, and it shows that given time, and the right person it is possible to love and trust again.

So What Do I Think? 5 Stars

I give this book 5 stars because it truly is such a moving and well written novel. It evoked powerful emotions in me, and words can't even describe how it made me feel.
If you love Regency Romance novels then this is a book you must read, it is a romance novel, but it is dark and twisted and passionate, and  you will not be able to put it down.
Overall I can't wait to read more of Dorothy McFalls work, I think she may have just become one of my favorite authors. I can not recommend this book enough, so please go buy it and let me know what you think in the comments below.

So that's all for today, I hope you like my little review, I'll have my usual post up Friday.
Stay Creative my Lovelies, I'll post again very soon.

Weight Loss Monday's: Week 25

Last week I told you I would let you know how my doctors appointment went, and truth be told, I still don't know what's wrong with me.
First I guess I should probably tell you exactly what happened, then I can tell you how I'm doing. Well basically about 3 weeks ago I had a knot on my neck come up, and at first I thought it was just the way I had been sleeping, but then it got worse, and I started getting really bad headaches.
So I finally caved and went to the doctor last week, my doctor said it was a swollen lymph-node, so they drew three tubes of blood, and they tested me for Lyme disease, and something else. But they both came back negative, so all I know is that it was a swollen lymph-node
If it hadn't got better I would have had to of gone back to the doctor, but thankfully the antibiotic they put me on has taken the swelling down, and it is almost gone. I'm just really thankful it wasn't anything serious, I tend to get paranoid with things like this, and it really freaked me out.

So now that I've filled you in on that it's time to move onto diet and fitness.

Last week was actually really good, I've got into a routine everyday, I've been doing squats, and weight training, usually once a day, sometimes twice. I'm hoping today I'll be able to go sign up for a gym membership, but I'm not sure if I'll make it, it's going to be a very busy day.
My diet has been doing good, I've cut out most snacking and have been eating 3 meals a day. I still eat a snack someday's but, other days I don't.
I haven't lost any weight, but I'm hoping once I get in the gym this week then the number on the scale will start dropping.
So I know this post is short and sweet, but that's all for today. Stay Creative my lovelies, I'll post again very very soon.
                                        XOXO,
                                              Lori Ann

Review: Revlon Nail Polish in 260 Girly

As promised today's post is a review, today i will be reviewing Revlon's Nail Polish in 260 Girly. First I'm going to explain what I used underneath it, then I will move on to the review.
First I used the Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Nail Hardener as a base coat, then applied my Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Polish in 370 Blackout. I wanted to make sure it was good and dry so I waited till the next day to apply the Revlon Nail polish. When I did finally apply it over the black this is how it turned out.

As you can see in the bottle it had a pink tint to it, when I applied it to the black it showed up a little, but when it dried it was fine. I had tried the nail polish before without any color underneath but I didn't like the way it looked, so that's when I decided to try it with the black.
I've had the nail polish on for about a week now, and I like it, it hasn't chipped too bad. But I'm definitely going to have to remove it tonight because it's time for it to go. I've enjoyed wearing this nail color, I usually stick to black unless I'm doing a review, so it was nice to have something different on my nails.
Overall I love the nail polish, and I will definitely wear it again. After my experience with the two Revlon nail polished I have I'm definitely looking forward to buying more to see how they hold up.

     Would I recommend it?

Yes, I love the formula, the brush, and I love that with this nail polish it can worn different ways. You can wear just the nail polish for a light pink color with sparkle, or you can really glam it up by applying the black underneath like i did. You really can't go wrong with buying this nail polish because even if you don't like it, it's only $3.99.
         Here's another picture....

So that's all for today, I'll have my usual post up Friday. Will you be buying this? Have you tried it already? Let me know what you think in the comment section. Stay Creative my Lovelies, I'll post again very soon.

5 Words: Week 24

Today is the day I face my fear and see my chiropractor for the first time in a year. I have a feeling I'm going to regret not going for the past year, because I know it's gonna hurt because my neck and my hip are screwed up.
I'm also hoping to get in to see my doctor today because I'm kinda worried about something, I don't wanna say anything till I know for sure. But it could be very serious, and it could affect my writing my blog, if it's anything serious I'll let you know in time. But if it isn't I'll let you know as soon as the doctor let's me know, right now I think I'm just paranoid, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
So before I go have my neck and back put back into alignment, here's this week's 5 Words.....

Abrogate- Repeal or do away with ( a law, right, or formal agreement).
Circumlocution- The use of many words where fewer would do, esp. in a deliberate attempt to be vague or evasive.
Expurgate- Remove matter thought to be objectionable or unsuitable from (a book or account).
Hubris- Excessive pride or self-confidence.
Loquacious- Talkative.

So that's all for this week, I hope you have a wonderful weekend. And to my fellow Americans I just want to wish you all a late Happy Fourth of July, and that I hope you all had a safe day. I also want to say please be careful this weekend if you have any fireworks leftover from Yesterday. Stay Creative my lovelies, I'll post again very very soon.

Good Deals #3

Today I wasn't sure what I wanted to post, so I went back and looked at the past few months to see if it would help inspire me. While I was browsing through my archives I realized I hadn't done a Good Deals post since March, so I think it's about time for a new post.

1.)   Topshop Princess Seam Tank Dress- $40.00 (Link)
   - I think this dress is a really good deal because you can wear it all the time. You could dress it up for a night out, or just wear it with flats during the day, and it would still look perfect.

2.) Whichgoose White Rose Bobby Pins- $20.00- (Link)
- This is a set of 4 bobby pins, and the reason I decided to include them is because they are so adorable, and they would just be perfect to wear during the summer.
I also wanted to include them because they are part of a new partnership that Nordstrom has, they have teamed up with Etsy to provide a new collection of handmade and vintage goods.  I've never used Etsy, but I know a lot of people do, so if you didn't know about this new collection, now you do.

3.) Bobeau Asymmetric Knit  Maxi Skirt- $59.00  $39.90 (Link)
- First I would just like to point out that this skirt is currently available for 30% off. Not only that but it looks so soft, you can just tell by looking at it that it so comfortable. I think this skirt would look good on all body types because of the ruched seams, I love clothes with ruched sides because they are so flattering.

4.) Deborah Lippmann 'Let's Go Crazy' Glitter Nail Color- $19.00 (Link)
-Normally I would never consider paying more than $5.00 for a nail polish, but if I could find this nail color in a store near me, I would so buy it.  It is so pretty, I've had this on my wishlist for months, and I think I just might have to break down and buy it.

5.) Steve by Steve Madden 'Easy Going' Tote- $90.00  (Link)
- This is the perfect tote bag, it could be used for many different situations. It could be used as a gym bag, beach bag, diaper bag, or just as an everyday bag. It has a lot of little compartments, which I absolutely love, and it also has an optional crossbody strap.

Okay so that's all for today,  I know everything is from Nordstrom, but I feel like everything included is a great price and I would be stupid to not tell you about it. So let me know what you think below and tell me if you buy any of the items listed above. Stay Creative my lovelies, I'll post again soon.
