March Favorites

Hello lovelies!
I was planning on putting this up yesterday, but once again my sucky internet wouldn't let me on long enough to finish writing. I'm hoping that in a week or two we'll have our new internet hooked up and then I'll be able to get back on schedule.

Today I have for you my March Favorites, I forgot to do a favorites post last month, so I really wanted to do one for March so that I could share with you some of the stuff I've been loving over the past few weeks!

Food: Dove Milk Chocolate
This is my favorite chocolate of all time, I decided to include it this month because I don't think I've ever mentioned it on here.

Song: Love Me Like You Do by Elle Goulding
I love, love, love, this song, it's so beautiful! Btw for those of you who haven't seen the movie yet, the music video makes it look much better than it actually is.

Beauty:
I actually have three beauty products for this month!

I bought this last month and I've been loving it since then. The only bad thing I can say about it is that if you get it in your mouth it tastes horrible!

This is another one that I bought during my Ulta haul last month and I have nothing bad to say about it, I plan on reviewing it soon, I just want to give it a little more time before I do a full review!

I bought this last month when I went in Sephora to only buy one thing and eneded up spending $80! I've used this before a few years ago and I loved it, so I decided that I wanted to try it again and I think I love it more now, than I did then!

Books:
My review for this book will be up next week, so all I'm saying right now is that you should definitely check it out!

My review on this book will be up in two weeks, but you should definitely check it out too!

Movies:

Divergent
I went to my local Family Video to rent a movie and they didn't have what I wanted so I decided to get this one instead and I really enjoyed it.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1
I've been dying to see this movie and I finally did, and now I can't wait till November for the next one to come out!

That's it for today, tomorrow I'll be giving you my March Goals Update, and then Thursday I'll have a new book review up!
What have you been loving this month? Let me know below!

Links to Love

Hello lovelies!
Another week has come to an end and my internet has still not been fixed! At this point I'm not sure what I'm going to do, the only options I have is to disconnect and be charged $400 for early disconnection, or keep it and never get anything done! It's been two months and this is driving me crazy, I think we are going to go ahead and cancel it and try to find something else next week.

I'm hoping this weekend I can go to work with my mom, that way I'll have some decent internet and be able to schedule some posts. I already have two posts for next week ready to go up, I just need to write my Monday and Friday post, and then I'll have next week done.

Anyway I'll keep y'all updated on how that works out, here's this week's Links to Love!

Book Synopsis
When a mysterious toxin threatens lives and livelihoods near the border between the U.S. and Canada, Dr. Tessa Cleary is called to trace the source. But when the no-nonsense doctor is forced to work with border patrol agent Jeff Steele, she finds the lone wolf's dedication to his job--and country--chipping away at walls around her heart. Just as Tessa and Jeff are about to uncover  the toxin's deadly source, armed thugs kidnap them in the forest. Now they must trust each other to survive before time runs out for everyone.

What did I think? 5 stars

Like: Well written and fast paced.
Dislike: Nothing.

Would I recommend it?
Yes I would definitely recommend this book. I'll be honest it took me a long time to start reading this book, but once I did I couldn't put it down.

Jeff and Tessa's characters were very realistic and their love story didn't seem rushed or fake in any way. I really liked the setting in Washington, and I like that the author gave Tessa a job that isn't a super girly job. The secondary characters were also a great addition to the story and they only added to the story.

Danger At The Border is book number one in the Northern Border Patrol series by Terri Reed, but it can definitely be read as a standalone. I'm actually looking forward to reading the next book, I'm not sure when it will be released, but it shouldn't be much longer considering this book was released in September.

Overall, I really liked this book and I'll definitely be reading more from this author. I really loved how fast paced this book was, it was well written, and I didn't want to put my phone down and go to bed!

Thank you Harlequin via Netgalley for providing me with this book in exchange for an honest review!

Ulta Haul + Mini Reviews

Hello lovelies!
Over the past month I've bought a lot of new goodies and today I wanted to share them with you, along with my thoughts on them!

Last month I placed two orders from Ulta and I'm planning on placing a new order this week! Out of everything that I bought I only had two products that disappointed me, but I'll explain that more down below!

Maybelline FaceStudio Master Prime Blur + Redness Control Primer $9.99
This is the first primer I've ever used so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I really do love this product and once it runs out I plan on repurchasing.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation $7.99
I was nervous about trying this foundation because it's new and there aren't that many reviews on it yet, but it was a gamble that paid off well. I love the formula of this foundation, it stays on all day and the color doesn't oxidize.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer $8.99
I had seen reviews on this concealer for years and I finally decided to try it. So far I really like this concealer, the coverage is buildable, it doesn't crease, it feels really good and it doesn't irritate the sensitive skin around my eyes.

Urban Decay Naked 24/7 Glide-On Double-Ended Eye Pencil $16.00
Honestly, this was probably the one I was most excited about and it's also the biggest disappointment. I was expecting great things from this eyeliner and I do love it, the formula is great and it lasts all day, I just don't like that there's not much product and I seem to be going through it really fast.

Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies Mascara $6.99
So far I've only used this once, but I really like it and I can't wait to keep using it. The only downside is that I wasn't paying attention when I bought it and so I ended up getting the one that isn't waterproof.

Nivea Lip Butter Vanilla & Macadamia Kiss $2.99
I love Nivea lip products, I own all of their lip balms, but this is the first lip butter I've bought and I really love it.

Nivea Kiss Of Olive Oil & Lemon Lip Care $2.99
Like I said I love Nivea lip products, I have 5 tubes of the yellow one. I heard about this one a few months ago when MakeupByTiffanyD mentioned it in a video and I'd been searching for it since then and I couldn't find it anywhere, it seems like Ulta is the only place that sells it. Honestly I think I might like this one better than the yellow one, it stays on my lips for hours and my lips feel really soft when I'm using it.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Original $7.99
For years I had put off buying this because I didn't believe the hype, but I finally broke down and bought it and I'm in love! This is hands down the BEST dry shampoo I've ever used.

AG Hair Hair Moisture & Shine Fast Food Sulfate-Free Shampoo $20.00-$50.00
I bought this after trying the AG Fast Food leave-on conditioner, I like that it's sulfate free, but it still lathers up and it's easy to work with, I would definitely repurchase this shampoo.
For some reason I couldn't get the travel size picture to clip to Polyvore, so I had to use the big one, but that's okay cause I'll be placing a new order this week and I'm definitely buying the big one!

AG Hair Travel Size Moisture & Shine Fast Food Leave On Conditioner $3.98
I actually bought this first and I loved it so much I had to try the shampoo too! I love the smell of this stuff and it makes my hair feel so soft, I love it, I'm going to be placing an order for the full size for this one too!

Conair You Style & Protect Hair Dryer $24.99
I bought this at Ulta last month, but for some reason it's now unavailable, but I did find it on Amazon, so I put the link in for that, it's the same price.

Freeman's Charcoal & Black Sugar Facial Polishing Scrub $4.29
I forgot to put this one in my Polyvore collage, but it was a part of my first order. When I got this I was really excited to try it, but if you follow me on Instagram, then you know it did not end well at all. I had been wanting to try it for months and so I tried it out the night I got it, big mistake! When I bought this scrub I didn't take the time to look at the ingredients list, if I had I would have seen that it has coconut in, which I am allergic to. So sadly this one didn't work out for me, and unfortunately I won't be able to use any other Freeman products because they all have coconut in them.

That's it for today, I hope you all enjoyed this haul! I plan on doing full reviews of some of the products mentioned above, I just wanted to give you my opinion so far on some of them!

Lori

Weekly Inspiration

"Great things never came from comfort zones."

Sometimes you have to get out of your comfort zone to achieve your goals. One thing that has always held me back in life is that I am very shy and I don't like talking to strangers, but I'm working on that. Blogging has definitely helped me become more comfortable with talking to strangers and I love that, I'm getting more confident and comfortable every day.

Goal: Get out of your comfort zone.

March Goals

Hello lovelies!
I hope you all had a great weekend! This month I have big plans, I have so many ideas and I can't wait to get started and share some of my new projects with you! I'm also excited for this month because it's my birthday month and I'll be turning 18 next week!

Here's this month's goals!

Lose 5 Pounds.
I lost two pounds last month, so this month I want to aim for 5 pounds.

Finish Spanish 2 Part 1.
I just want to hurry up and get this done and over with. Honestly I really don't like it, I wish my school offered more than just Spanish and French, but for now I just gotta deal with it.

Start & try to Finish Spanish 2 Part 2.
Like I said, I'm just ready to hurry up and finish it.

Start & Finish Vocabulary Studies Part 1.
I'm really looking forward to starting this class, it sounds really interesting and I think I'm going to be able to finish it pretty quickly.

Start Vocabulary Studies Part 2.
I'm pretty sure that part 1 will only take a few weeks to finish, so I should be able to start part 2  by the end of the month.

Start & try to Finish Algebra 2 Part 1.
Bleh! I am not looking forward to this at all! I'm not a fan of math, but I'm ready to get this done and over with so that I can get back to the classes that I do like!

Exercise twice a week.
This month I want to get back into a exercise routine. Twice a week isn't much, but it's a something.

Read a book every week.
Reading relaxes me and at the moment I'm super stressed and I need as much relaxation as I can get.

Start writing again.
I've haven't written anything in two months! I've been dealing with writers block and all of my projects are just sitting in documents waiting for me.

Blog more.
Last month was a bad month for me in blogland. This month I want to get back on track and get back on my normal schedule!

That's it for today, I'll be back tomorrow!
What are your goals for March?

Lori
