June Weight Loss

Hello lovelies, can you believe today is the last day of June? This year is going by too fast, it feels like yesterday we were celebrating the new year, and now we're halfway through the year!

Diet:
This month my diet has been really good, I haven't been eating many sweets and I've also cut out potato chips completely. For the first half of the month I wasn't getting nearly enough calories because I was having problems with my acid reflux. But last week I saw the doctor and we switched my medicine and so far it's working and I feel a lot better.

Exercise:
I mentioned this last week during my goals update, but I've been dealing with some health issues this month and I haven;t been able to go to the gym because of it. I'll be seeing a specialist on July 9 and I'm hoping after that I can get back on track.

Weight Lost This Month:  0 Pounds
Total Weight Loss: 7 Pounds

So, no  changes this month, but I have hope that things will change soon. That's all for today, this week I'll be back on my normal schedule so I'll be posting tomorrow and Wednesday!

Lori

June Goals Update

Hey y'all, today I want to update you on my goals for June, I didn't accomplish everything I wanted to, but I'm working on it.
By the way, I don't know if you noticed but I changed my blog name!
One of my goals for this month was to work on a new blog design and spend more time blogging. Earlier this month I made a  design and I liked it, but I didn't love it, so I decided to work with someone who knew more about blog design than I do.
So far only the header has been uploaded, but the rest should be up soon, and I can't wait to see it and share it with you. When everything is in place I'll do a blog post about it and share all the details with you about the blog designer.

In case you didn't see them earlier this month, here's this months goals.

FINISH College Prep U.S. History Part 2
Start and finish English 2 Part 1
Finish half of Geometry Part 1
Read a book.
Take better care of my hair.
Spend more time blogging.
Be more involved in the blog community.
Work on a new blog design.
Start working out again.

6 out of 10

FINISH College Prep U.S. History Part 2
This month I've had to take a step back from focusing only on school, I've been dealing with some health issues, and because of that I haven't been working as much as I usually do.
Unfortunately, that means I didn't accomplish any of my goals for school this month. I really wanted to finish my History class this month, but I didn't. Depending on how hard I work I should have this class finished in 1-2 weeks, and then I'll be able to move on.

Start and finish English 2 Part 1
Because I'm only allowed to have two classes open at a time I didn't get to start English 2, but as soon as I finish the history class I'll start on English 2 and I should have Part 1 done by the end of July.

Finish half of Geometry Part 1
I also didn't start Geometry, my goal was to finish at least three units, but that didn't happen, but I did get the first unit of the course outlined and I decided on how I'm going to take notes for the class.

Start working out again.
Due to the issues I've been having I just haven't been able to start working out. I'm hoping that after I see a specialist next month I'll be able to get back on track, but till then I just have to wait it out and see what happens.

So that is all for today, I hope you liked it!
XoXo,
Lori

Beach Bags Under $50

When you're going to the beach, a beach bag is an essential, it keeps all your stuff together, and keeps sand from getting all over everything. I personally don't like to spend a lot of money on something like a beach bag because they just don't last long.
While looking online I found some great beach bags all under $50 to share with you, so now all that's left is choosing one!

Again, there's no need for an explanation.

Weekend Wear

I wanted to make another post earlier this week, but I just didn't have the energy for it, so now that I'm starting to feel better, I thought it was time for me to sit down and write.
I've been wanting to do a blog post like this for a while now, but I just didn't have time, between school and studying for last weekends ACT, but now I'm done with the ACT for awhile ( hopefully) and now I have time to write again!
Over the past few months I've been trying to include more fashion related posts in my blogging schedule and it's been about a month since my last fashion post, so I think today is the perfect day to get back into that!

This isn't going to be a weekly series, but I think I'm going to start doing a weekend wear post a few times a month. I had a lot of fun making this, and hopefully you enjoy it.
So I guess that's all for today, let me know in the comments what you think!
What are you doing this weekend? Any fun plans?

My Top 5 Songs of the Moment

Hey y'all, sorry for the late post today, I was having a hard time deciding what to post today.
I eventually decided that today I would share with you my top 5 songs of the moment, I've never done this before, so I thought today would be a good day to give it a go.
Out of all the songs below, I have to say that my favorite is All Too Well. I have been completely obsessed with it for the past month and I refuse to take it off repeat!
Back in January Lucy Hale released her first single 'You Sound Good to Me' and I honestly wasn't impressed, she has an amazing voice, and I felt like she could do better. A few days ago I saw that her entire album was on her Vevo channel and I decided to give it a listen. From the entire album my favorite songs are Road Between, Kiss Me, Goodbye Gone, Nervous Girls, and Red Dress featuring Joe Nichols. After listening to the album I don't think I'll buy the entire album, but I will buy a few of the songs separately!

MKTO is a really random pick, I first heard of them last week after it was announced they would be an opening act for Demi Lovato on her world tour, and so I decided to listen to them, and I liked a few of their songs!

I guess that's all for today, I hope you liked it! Let me know what you think in the comments. What are your top 5 songs of the moment?

June Playlist

Hello lovelies, I hope you had a great weekend! Today I want to take a moment to talk to y'all and let you know what's been going on and why I haven't been posting as much recently.
Basically what's going on is that I'm taking the ACT this Saturday and I've been studying really hard, and I've been trying to keep up with blogging and my school work at the same time, and it's just a lot to handle.
At this point I've had to put my school and studying first, which means that I've had to neglect blogging the past few weeks. But the big day is Saturday, and after that I going to take a few days to relax and then I'm going go make sure I give this blog a some much needed TLC!
So there's that and here's this months playlist.

So that's all for today, I hope you liked this months playlist, and hopefully next week I can get back on track with my normal posting schedule.

Weekly Inspiration

Via

You can only be strong for so long without breaking, so take some time and let yourself feel what you've been bottling up, cry, hit something, eat a carton of ice cream, and let yourself cry. When you're done you will feel so much better because you won't be holding on to everything that was hurting you.

Goal: Stop holding on to the pain inside and let yourself have a breakdown every once in a while.

Gillette Venus Snap VoxBox Review

A few weeks ago, I received my Gillette Venus Snap with Embrace from Influenster to try out, and I've gotta say that so far I really love it! Before I received the Venus Snap, I didn't even know it existed, I hadn't seen any commercials or ads for it, so I was really surprised when I received it.

Via

The Venus Snap is great for on the go, it's easy to store and it's perfect for travel! I don't travel much, but I do have a trip planned this fall where I'll be going out-of-state for a few days and I already know that this will be in my bag when I leave!

I've used Venus Embrace razors in the past and I loved them, I'm not a fan of the price, but they do last a long time, so it's worth every penny. I've tried disposable razors, but I keep coming back to Venus every time!

Would I recommend it?
Of course. It's small, portable, and you can take it with you anywhere!
If you use anything other than Venus Embrace razors, then I urge you to throw them away, and buy Venus, you won't regret it! While I don't like the price of the refills, I do feel like you get your moneys worth.

Also, I recently purchased their refills for Sensitive Skin, and I'm really loving it, I'm going to try them out for a few weeks and then I'll post a review.

Have you tried the Venus Snap? What did you think about it? Let me know in the comments below!

Weekly Inspiration

Recently while browsing around on twitter I saw this message that Taylor Swift left on a fan's Instagram photo and I really wanted to share it. Taylor get's a lot of crap for dating, and people choose to see that side of her, and because of that they never see how inspiring and charitable she is.
She is an amazing role model, and I'm very proud to say that I'm a Swiftie.
Taylor is 24 years old, she's worth 200 million dollars, and she could be going out every weekend partying, drinking and doing drugs. But instead she's at home baking, playing with her cat, hanging out with her friends, and commenting on her fans Instagram posts. And when she's not working or touring she spends hours visiting sick kids in hospitals.
I think that that's something that should be shared and celebrated, and if you want to unfollow me because of that then go ahead, I don't care, this me, this is who I am and I'm not going to change that for anyone!

XoXo,
Lori
