Book Review: Janice Maynard - Twins On The Way

Today I will be reviewing 'Twins On The Way' by Janice Maynard, copy received from Netgalley via Harlequin in exchange for an honest review.

'Twins On The Way' is a romance novel and is the fourth book in the Kavanaughs of Silver Glen series. It is 192 pages long and it took me about four hours to read. It is available at Amazon (Kindle) for $3.99, and at Barnes & Noble (NOOKBook) for $3.99.

About The Book

Genre: Romance

Length: 192 Pages

Publisher: Harlequin Desire

Release Date: April 7, 2015

Book Synopsis
Workaholic Cassidy Corelli was a virgin...until her one night stand with Gavin Kavanaugh. Now the daughter of a Vegas mogul has two little problems - the twins she's carrying! When her father disowns her, she's left with only one place to go - back to Gavin!

But the millionaire's been burned before. He wants a paternity test. Until then, he's determined to keep this woman out of his bed - for his own good. But once he's enjoyed a perfect passion, can a starving man deny himself one more taste?

What did I think? 4 Stars

Would I recommend it?
Yes, I would recommend this book, it wasn't the best, but I still really liked the story. I liked Cassidy and Gavin's characters, but I'll admit there were times where I really wanted to slap Gavin for being an idiot.

The characters romance definitely wasn't believable, but I still enjoyed it, and it didn't take away from the story. The characters on the other hand were very realistic.

This book is a great, quick read. Lately I've been mostly into romantic suspense books, so since this is a Harlequin Desire it's definitely a little more heated than I'm used to when it comes to the sex scenes. However, I like that it wasn't overdone and it didn't make me want to cringe.

Overall, I think that this book is worth the read, it's a light, quick and enjoyable way to spend an afternoon!

Thank you Harlequin via Netgalley for providing me with this book in exchange for an honest review!

Links to Love

Hello Lovelies!
This week was really good, I finished two classes and next week I'll be finishing another, which means I get all new classes! I still can't believe this weekend is Memorial Day weekend, I don't have any plans yet, but I'm sure I'll find something to do!

Right now I'm really focused on school because I'm so close to being finished. Also, there's nothing on TV right now, so I have a few more weeks before the summer premieres of the shows I watch. I'm really excited for Pretty Little Liars and The Fosters!
However, at the same time I'm still reeling from the season finale of Grey's Anatomy and Once Upon A Time, they were so good! Also, let's not forget a moment of silence for Revenge, I'm sad the show is over, but the last episode was the perfect ending to the series.

Anyway, that's all I have to say this week, so let's get in to this week's Links to Love!

That's it for today, I hope y'all have a great weekend!

Review: Adovia Purifying Dead Sea Mud Mask

Hello Lovelies!
Today I will be reviewing Adovia's Purifying Dead Sea Mud Mask. This mask retails for $19.99 and if used once a week can last up to a year!
I've used this product about a few times now and I've applied it and removed it differently each time, so I think I have a good idea of what I think about the product.

This product is very thick, so it does take some work to get the product on and off. I like to leave it on for 20 minutes, it takes about 5 minutes to get on, and another 5-10 minutes to take off and moisturize. I tried removing this with just water, a washcloth, and my Olay face brush.
Personally I prefer using my face brush, I started off by rubbing water on my face to get the excess product off and then I used my face brush to get off the more stubborn areas.

The mask claims to minimize pores, clean pores, and it's anti-againg. The mask also treats eczema, blackheads, acne, acne scars, pimples, and psoriasis. I really like that you can pronounce the ingredients, such as Vitamin C, aloe vera, jojoba oil, and ginseng.

I'm wearing the mask as I type this review and my skin feels like it's tingling in some places and in others it feels like it's burning. I know from the past few times I've used this, that when I remove the mask my skin is going to be red.

My skin is usually combination/oily and lately I've been dealing with lots of oil and blackheads. I haven't noticed a difference with oil control with this mask, but I can definitely say it is amazing at removing blackheads. My nose and chin were full of blackheads and now there's barely any left.

Unfortunately, from the beginning I had problems with this product. The first time I used the mask I heard a pop from the bottle when I squeezed it, it took me a few minutes to realize it, but the top of the tube had burst and the mask was spilling out onto my hand.

After that, I looked up reviews of the mask and I think it's just me cause no one else mentioned this in the reviews. I really don't think it was Adovia's fault though, when I received my box it was pretty beat up, so I'm thinking that USPS might be to be blame for this one.

Honestly, I'm not sure yet if I'll be purchasing this after I finish up this tube. I want to keep using it and maybe in a few weeks I'll notice a difference and if I do I'll definitely update y'all about it.

What do you think about mud masks? Let me know below!

Review: Vita Sciences Maxasorb Melatonin Cream

Hello lovelies!
Today, I'm back with another Vita Sciences review, I loved the B-12 Vitamin Cream so much that I had to try more of their products!

I've mentioned in the past that I have issues sleeping. Normally I go to bed at 4am and wake up at 7am, then usually around 10am or 11am I'll lay down and take a nap. This routine is not fun and I hate it! But I've been sleeping like this for about a year now and it's the only routine I've been able to keep.

I love that this melatonin cream is so easy to use! For the past week I've applying this on my arms 30 minutes before I go to bed and it's actually working. I can feel it start working after about 10 minutes and last week for the first time in over 5 years I actually managed to go to bed before midnight!

The product is v smooth and even though it's not a moisturizer, it does contain moisturizing ingredients, and I can tell that my skin feels softer in the areas I apply it to. I'm really impressed and I've noticed that the longer I keep using it the better I sleep! I really wish I had tried using Melatonin sooner!

Overall, my experience with the Vita Sciences Maxasorb Melatonin Cream has been incredible! I've been falling asleep faster, staying asleep longer, and sleeping better than I have in years! I would definitely recommend this to any one who has issues with sleeping but doesn't want to use pills. My whole experience with Vita Sciences had been so great that I think next week I'm going to order the Nerve Pain Relief Cream!

What do you think of Melatonin creams? Will you be giving this a try?

Book Review: Johanna Lindsey - Let Love Find You (Locke Family Series #4)

Today I will be reviewing 'Let Love Find You' by Johanna Lindsey, I bought this book last year for $7.99. This book is the reason I decided to re-read the entire series last year. At the time it had been 3 years since I had read the others, so I decided to re-read them to refresh my memory before I read this one.

'Let Love Find You' is a historical regency romance novel, set in the 19th century and it is the fourth book in the Locke Family Series. It is 418 pages long and it took me about five or six hours to read. It is available at

About The Book

Genre: Regency Romance

Length: 418 Pages

Publisher: Gallery Books

Release Date: June 12, 2012

Book Synopsis
Lovely Amanda Locke is everything a nobleman could desire, so why has she, a duke's daughter, entered her third Season still unattached? Devin Baldwin knows what she needs to do to win a mate, and his unsolicited honesty cuts her to the quick. The renowned horse breeder, unafraid of ruffling feathers with advice stinging as Cupid's sharpest arrows, has successfully paired eligible young ladies with suitable  gentleman based on his theory of animal magnetism.

Amanda finds this darkly handsome meddler insufferable, but with her sights set on an earl who is a horse enthusiast, she begrudgingly welcomes Devin's expert riding instruction. When Cupid's efforts backfire and Amanda captures the heart of the wrong man, an old family secret and a desperate suitor force her to risk everything to ensure that a thrilling passion turns into a lifetime of love.

What did I think? 5 Stars

Like: Perfect pace.
Dislike: Nothing

Would I recommend it?
Yes, I would definitely recommend this book, as usual it is another great read from Johanna Lindsey. Honestly, I don't think I've ever read a book by her that I didn't like!

This books is different from most books I've read by Johanna Lindsey, in most books all of her main characters are aristocrats. I really enjoyed that Devin wasn't a part of that crowd, it made his character more realistic.

I really like how Devin and Amanda's romance built throughout the story and it was actually believable and realistic unlike some historical romances.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book, then again I've never not liked a Johanna Lindsey book!  I have another book by Johanna Lindsey sitting by my bed waiting to be read, so I'll definitely be reading more of her books soon!

So that's all for today, I hope you enjoyed it, let me know what you think in the comments Have you read this book?  Do you have any recommendations?

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Will Probably Never Read

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link up hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
This week's theme: Ten Books I Will Probably Never Read.
It's been so long since I've participated in Top Ten Tuesday, I think the last time was February or March! But, I really want to get back into it, I love these link ups and I love visiting other participating blogs!

The Harry Potter Series
Honestly I don't see myself ever reading this series, I'm 18, and I've never been interested in it and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
(P.S. If you're a Harry Potter superfan, please don't kill me!)

Wuthering Heights
I haven't tried to read this one yet, but just from reviews I've seen I don't think it's something I would like, and I think I would struggle to finish it.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
I know a lot of people love this book and loved the movie, but there's just too much violence for me.

Julius Caesar
I was supposed to read this one for my English class, but I just couldn't do it. Thankfully I was able to read enough of the book to pass the test and write a paper on the book. Luckily my teacher also provided us with links to a BBC small film, the quality sucked, but I was able to do the work and that's all that matters.

The Lord of the Rings
I know quite a few people who would probably kill me if they read this, but I've never been interested in reading this series. Fantasy just isn't my thing.

Emma
I've tried time and time again to read Jane Austen novels and it always takes me forever to finish them. Normally I have no trouble finishing a book with over 400 pages, but it took me a month to finish Pride and Prejudice and probably longer for Sense and Sensibility.

The Fault In Our Stars
Go ahead, yell at me, send me hate for not reading it, I'm just not interested. I think this book and John Green in general is over hyped.

The Jungle
One one hand I want to read this, but then I start to think about actually picking it up and I just don't want to know that much about the meat industry and food industry.

Honestly when I first saw this topic I thought I would be able to come up with a full 10 books, but now that I think about it I can't think of 10 books. I'm the type of reader who is usually willing to give anything a try, but I know what I like and these are a few of the books I can't imagine ever reading.

That's it for today, I'll probably think of a ton of more books I could add to this list later, but for now this is it.

What books will you probably never read? Let me know below and if your participated in Top Ten Tuesday leave your link below so I can see your list!

May Goals

Hello lovelies!
Can you believe it's already May? I feel like this year is going by so fast, I can't keep up!

Last month was not a good month, I didn't accomplish much with my goals, and just overall it was a bad month. Thankfully April is over, and I'm on a mission to make May better!

Lose 5 pounds.
Look into the local Beauty College.
Finish Vocabulary Studies Part 1 & 2.
Start & Finish Algebra 2 Part 1.
Start & Try to Finish College Prep US Gov. & Economics
Update About Me Page.
Continue With Blog Redesign.
Find a job.
Open a bank account.
Clean out my closet.

I have 10 goals this month! Let's examine them!

Lose 5 pounds.
I've been working out for the past few months with no results, so I'm really hoping that this month I'll be able to see some results.

Look into the local Beauty College.
For the past few months I've been having a lot of people in my life encouraging me to go to beauty college, so I'm going to go talk to the ladies at the beauty college in my town and see if I like what I see.

Finish Vocabulary Studies Part 1 & 2.
I should finish this in a week or two, I'm really hoping that by the end of the month I'll have a new internet provider and then it'll be easier to get my schoolwork done on time.

Start & Finish Algebra 2 Part 1.
I haven't started this class yet, but I'm hoping I can finish part 1 by the end of the month.

Start & Try to Finish College Prep US Gov. & Economics Part 1.
I haven't started this one yet either, but I think it's going to be a pretty easy class to pass.

Update About Me Page.
This was one of my goals last month, but it's kind of hard to do when your internet only works for a few hours a day.

Continue With Blog Redesign.
I've been working on my blog redesign for a few months now and I'm hoping I can get closer to finishing this month.

Find a job.
I put in a lot of applications last month, but so far I haven't had any luck, it's hard getting a job when you have no experience. Employers want you to have experience, but no one is willing to give you a chance at your first job.

Open a bank account.
I want to get a new bank account opened up so that I can start saving money for a new computer and for college.

Clean out my closet.
I really want to clean out my closet, I've been buying a lot of new clothes for summer and so I want to go through my closet and get rid of what I no longer need!

That's it for today, I'll be back tomorrow and Wednesday with new posts!
What are your goals for the month? Let me know below!

Links to Love

Hello lovelies.
I'm sorry I haven't been able to post this week, but a lot has been going on and my family needed me. I spent Sunday through Wednesday in Lexington, my step-sister had her baby on Sunday and his funeral was yesterday. This week has been hard and very emotional and it's going to take some time for things to get back to normal.

Honestly April wasn't a good month and I'm really hoping that May is going to be better. I probably won't have a post up on Tuesday next week, but other than that I should be able to keep to the rest of my weekly schedule.

Anyway, lets get into this weeks Links to Love.

That's it for this week, I'll be back on Sunday with a Weekly Inspiration post and then Monday will be my goals for May!
